Description of Instrument Status Codes

The instrument status is used to track the progress of an instrument through the laboratory. ProCal and ProCal-Track will automatically change some statuses when performing certain actions. All statuses can be set manually at any point.


The following instrument statuses are available:

With CustomerThe instrument is not currently booked in, and therefore is with the customer. ProCal-Track will set this status automatically when dispatching an item
BRequestedA request has been sent to the customer to send the instrument in for calibration using the instrument recall function in ProCal-Track
COverdueThe instrument is overdue for calibration and a request has been sent to the customer to send the instrument in for calibration using the instrument recall function in ProCal-Track
DLostThe instrument has been lost. This status must be set manually
EReceivedThe instrument has been received from the customer and has been booked-in using the 'goods inwards' function. ProCal-Track sets this status automatically when booking in
FReceived - Awaiting QuoteThe instrument has been received from the customer and has been booked-in, but is awaiting approval on the quote from the customer. This status must be set manually
GReceived - Awaiting Info/OrderThe instrument has been received from the customer and has been booked-in, but is awaiting further information from the customer. This status must be set manually
HArrived DamagedThe instrument has been received from the customer and has been booked-in but has arrived with damage. This status is set when the 'damaged' option is checked at book in
IBefore Cal. Done - Awaiting Adj.The 'before' results have been completed in ProCal, and the instrument requires adjustment. This status is usually set in ProCal when saving the calibration
JCalibration IncompleteThe calibration of the instrument has been started in ProCal but it has not yet been completed. This status is usually set in ProCal when saving the calibration
KSent For Cal./Repair (External)The instrument has been sent to an external company for calibration or repair. This status is automatically set by ProCal-Track when using the sub-contract feature
LSent For Repair (Internal)The instrument has been sent for repair to an internal department. This status can be set manually, or in ProCal when saving the calibration
MCal. Done - Awaiting PaperworkThe calibration of the instrument has been completed, and the instrument is awaiting processing and paperwork. This status is usually set in ProCal when saving the calibration
NIn DespatchThe instrument has been processed and paperwork has been printed and is ready to be dispatched. ProCal-Track sets this status automatically when the instrument is processed.
ORequested (Posted)A request has been sent to the customer by letter to send the instrument in for calibration using the instrument recall function in ProCal-Track
POverdue (Posted)The instrument is overdue for calibration and a request has been sent to the customer by letter to send the instrument in for calibration using the instrument recall function in ProCal-Track
QUnder ConstructionThe instrument has been created in ProCal-Track but is currently being constructed/manufactured. This status must be set manually
RAllocated To CustomerThe instrument has been constructed/manufactured and has been allocated to a customer ahead of sale. This status must be set manually
SIn StockThe instrument has been constructed/manufactured and is in stock. This status must be set manually
TAwaiting PartsThe instrument is awaiting parts. This status must be set manually
UAction RequiredThe instrument requires an action that doesn't fit into any of the previous statuses. This status must be set manually
