4000 Series : Formatting a Memory Stick to FAT32 Format

Modified on Tue, 2 Mar, 2021 at 3:46 PM

To be detected by the 4000 Series any memory stick used must be formatted using the FAT32 File System.

To format a memory stick to this file system, first, ensure that any data has been removed/safely stored on another device.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to My Computer or This PC and locate the Memory Stick that is to be formatted. In this case, the F Drive is our Memory Stick.

Right click on the drive and select 'Format...'.

From the menu that appears select FAT32 from the Drop Down menu listed under File System. Leave all other values at defaults (Capacity and Allocation Unit Size).

No specific Volume Label is required, however, if you wish to clearly identify the memory stick in the future you can use a unique name.

Click Start and the memory stick will be formatted.

Instructions for using the memory stick with the 4000  Series can be found on the support portal.
