Cold Junction Measuring 30.5'C or 10.5'C

Modified on Wed, 3 Mar, 2021 at 8:32 AM

If the cold junction measurement is indicating 30.5'C or 10.5'C on the front panel of the instrument when the ambient temperature is clearly neither, this may indicate that the lead within the OUTPUT/SOURCE connector has been damaged.

The output lead should never be pulled on, bent or used to remove the connector from a UUT, the connector should always be held with minimal stress put on the flying lead.

If this temperature is indicated on the front the EA001A will need to be returned to a service partner/centre for repair.
