The 4610M can run a copy of the UI from the MicroSD card. This can be useful in the event that the internal USB port is damaged and unable to update using the normal method.
To place a copy of the UI software on the SD card, first remove the SD card following these instructions - 4610M : Accessing Internal MicroSD Card
With a computer, access the MicroSD card and place the updated Calibrator.exe on the root folder of the MicroSD Card (example below). Transmille can provide a specialised version that indicates that the UI is running from the MicroSD card for reference.
Replace the MicroSD card in the same manner in which it was removed and power the unit back on. Make sure that a USB memory stick is not attached, as the start up preference is
1. USB Memory Stick
2. MicroSD Card
3. Normal Start up
Note - It is important that the MicroSD card is not formatted/erased as important backup files are stored on this card. The Folder 46XX stores calibration factor backups which can be useful in the event of a processor replacement.
