4000 : Uploading Translation files

Modified on Tue, 2 Mar, 2021 at 3:41 PM

The 4000 Series features a fully translatable UI which supports many different languages.

To import a new language, or update an existing language, place the new Language file (language.4000lang) onto a blank USB memory stick.

Plug the memory stick into the 4000 Series and wait 5 seconds for the USB stick to be recognised (wait for any lights to first power on, and then stop flashing).

Navigate to the configuration menu by pressing Menu, Config, entering the passcode (default 1234) and then scrolling down or selecting 'Update System [Via USB Device Port]' as in the image below.

Press Select/Enter/Touch the menu item and the update screen will appear. As only the translation file is present the new translation file will be copied from the USB memory stick. If any other files are present (4000 Series Updates, connection prompts etc.) these will also be copied across at this time.

If 4000 Series Update files are copied across the system will ask to restart, otherwise, you will be notified that files copied successfully.

The new or updated languages can then be found in the 'Set Language' menu.
