8100 : UI Version History

The 8100 Series can be updated via USB to add new functionality for end users.

It is recommended that USB updates are performed only by competent personnel and only after confirming that the unit is compatible with the latest version. The latest version is available by contacting Transmille via support ticket (recommended) or via email

V1.0.1 - 9th February 2018

• Improved speed and performance of 100MR and 1GR Range calibration
• When in frequency mode the READ? command now returns the Frequency instead of voltage/current
• PIC Version can be seen from the main menu

V1.0.2 - 15th February 2018 - REQUIRES PIC VERSION 5.9

• Allows configuration of Frequency Measurement Gate between SLOW and FAST modes
• Will warn the user if incorrect PIC version (low-level firmware) is detected

V1.0.3 - 19th February 2018

• Improved loading of specification file and simplification of file names

V1.0.4 - 28th February 2018 

• Resolved issue setting GPIB interface address via front panel

V1.0.5 - 16th March 2018

• Improved performance with handling a large number of samples (>10,000 samples) in rolling average mode
• Improved remote interface performance & compatibility
• Added remote commands to enable/disable backlight (DISPlay:BACKLight {ON}{OFF})
• Display backlight will now enter screensaver mode correctly during long-term measurements (i.e. using ProGraph)

• Introduction of Ratio Configuration Options - enabling the user to select the number of stabilization samples as well as the number of samples used on a per terminal basis
• Main Menu re-written to be in alphabetical order for ease of use
• Allowed Main Menu to scroll between pages via digital control
• Null indicator text change from "NULL ON" to "NULL"
• The configuration menu is now protected by system password
• All Null values are now cleared when performing a reset via front panel or via the *RST command
• Ohms compensation status now visible in the top menu bar when set
• Electrometer Infinity null enabled
• Electrometer functionality colour scheme corrected
• All null's now cleared when performing a reset to startup state
