3200B : Replacing Continuity Fuse

Modified on Tue, 2 Mar, 2021 at 3:24 PM

The 3200B continuity functions are protected by a solder in fuse to protect the sensitive circuitry from overloads of external current.

This fuse is soldered in place to minimise resistance variation that would be noted from a fuse holder.

This fuse can be replaced by the user, but must be done carefully to avoid damaging via's and tracks.

The component designator is F11, and can be purchased from Farnell using the part number 992-1974 (https://uk.farnell.com/littelfuse/0251001-mat1l/fuse-quick-blow-1a/dp/9921974?ost=992-1974).

It is important that this fuse is selected as the internal resistance is important, using a different part number may cause an offset on continuity readings.
