To configure Emulation mode of the 4600A, navigate to the main menu of the calibrator and configure the emulation mode. Alternatively, send the following commands
SYSTEM:COMMANDS:MODETRANSMILLE <- sets Transmille mode
SYSTEM:COMMANDS:MODE55XX <- sets 55xx compatibility mode
To set a custom IDN, while in Transmille command mode, send the following command
SYST:SETTINGS:USERIDN<USER IDN>
For example
SYST:SETTINGS:USERIDNEXAMPLE,1234,5678,9
Would set the *IDN? response to
EXAMPLE,1234,5678,9
