1000 Series : Changing Line Input Voltage Selection

Modified on Tue, 02 Mar 2021 at 02:26 PM

The 1000 Series has a configurable input voltage, either 110V or 230V. 100V input is available on special request.

This procedure can be performed by end users, but does require opening the unit. This does NOT affect the calibration of the unit, just the input voltage.

Always be sure to change the power inlet fuse to the correct current rating. 2A, slow blow for 230V AC, 4A Slow blow for 110V.

Upon completion, make sure that the label on the outside of the unit is changed. Replacement labels are available on request from Transmille. Damage caused by not labelling the currently configured input voltage can be extensive.

  1. Remove the 6 hex screws in the front panel as indicated below.

  2. If changing the fuse on a 1000A (Portable model), place a soft pad on the front panel and then turn the case upside down to remove the unit from the protective case. If the unit is a 1000B (Benchtop model), tilt the front panel forward enough to see the voltage selection switch.

  3. Slide the voltage selection switch to the desired input voltage. White text indicates the current input voltage. In the below example the input voltage has been set to 230V.

  4. To reassemble the unit, follow the above steps in reverse, making sure that the front panel is flat against the metalwork / case before tightening screws.
