Assigning/Removing Instruments to/from a Station

Instruments can be permanently assigned to a station from the global list of created instruments. ProCal will always use these assigned instruments when checking traceability at the start of a calibration procedure.

Please note that only one instrument per “reserved” category can be assigned at any one time.

One instrument can be assigned to multiple stations. Current assignments can be checked in the traceable instrument administration screen.

To assign an instrument to a station:

1. File > Assign Traceable Instruments
2. Click the “Assign Instrument” button
3. Select the category containing the instrument to be assigned. 
4. Select the instrument to be assigned. 
5. Click the “Assign Instrument” button
6. Click “yes” to confirm, or “no” to cancel.
7. If your instrument requires a manual FTDI address, click “yes” to enter this. Otherwise, click “no”.

To remove an instrument from a station:

1. File > Assign Traceable Instruments
2. Select the instrument to be removed.
3. Click the “Remove Instrument” button.
4. You will receive confirmation that the instrument has been removed from this station’s assignment list.
