Adding Adapters to ProSet and Printing on Certificates as Traceable Instruments

STEP 1 : Run ProSet


Run ProSet and add instruments if needed to allow you to create new items above line 10.


To add a new instrument to the traceability, first open the Traceable Instruments list in Edit mode: 




Select the 'Add Traceable Instrument' shortcut button:



Below you can see instrument 15 has been added to the list :



Below the details for a thermocouple adapter have been added to line 15 :




Click the button in the toolbar again to add another instrument :




Then add details for the next adapter in the instrument list, in this example instrument 16 :




STEP 2 : Run ProEdit


Run ProEdit and edit the procedure to add traceable instruments to the references used :


Select File > Edit An Existing Procedure



Select a procedure by searching (click START SEARCH to view all procedures), then click ACCEPT.



The procedure INSTRUMENT INFORMATION screen will be displayed - click NEXT to go to the traceability screen :



In the INSTRUMENT TRACEABILITY section, select the EA001A Thermocouple adapter for instrument 1.




Select the EA002 clamp coil adapter for instrument 2:




NOTE : FOR PROCEDURES USING A METER OR MEASUREMENT TYPE TEST, THE SYSTEM CALIBRATOR OR MULTIMETER WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISPLAYED AS A USED TRACEABLE INSTRUMENTS WITHOUT NEEDING TO ADD THESE REFERENCE INSTRUMENTS TO THE TRACEABLE INSTRUMENT LIST IN EACH PROCEDURE.

Further adapters can be added to the ProSet traceability list and applied to procedures as required.


NOTE : Each procedure needs the additional traceable instruments to be added to the specific procedures traceable instrument list.
