The ProCal Report Viewer, once installed, will automatically launch when a report has been requested in ProCal, ProCal-Track or ProSales.
Please note that ProCal/ProCal-Track/ProSales will be unereponsive while the report viewer is open. This is by design, as the software needs to wait for the user's interaction with the report viewer before it can continue to be used.
Once launched, the report app screen will be visible while the report loads in:
Once loaded, the report will be visible on screen and controls will be enabled:
The following controls are available:
- Report Zoom
- Change the zoom level of the report
- The zoom level can be selected from the drop down options, or keyed in manually
- Page Movement Buttons
- From left to right the control buttons perform the following actions:
- Go to first page
- Go to previous page
- Go to next page
- Go to last page
- The specific page of the report can be navigated to using the page number drop down
- From left to right the control buttons perform the following actions:
- Copy
- The copy button creates a "copy" of a PDF version of the report on the clipboard
- After selecting copy, the user can navigate to a folder of choice, an email, or other location and "paste" the report as a PDF:
- Email
- This function requires the Email Utility to be present on the PC, and for email settings to be configured in ProCal-Track
- This feature will not work for users without ProCal-Track
- The Email button allows the report to be sent via email as a PDF format file
- The Email screen will appear:
- Enter the required email address, subject and content
- Note - this information should be pre-populated for reports generated by ProSales only
- Click "Send" to send the email to the recipient. This will also close the report screen
- Click "Cancel" to cancel email sending
- This function requires the Email Utility to be present on the PC, and for email settings to be configured in ProCal-Track
- Export
- The export function allows the report to be exported as a file to a location of the user's choice
- Clicking the export button will open the windows file save dialogue, defaulting to the configured ProCal/ProCal-Track/ProSales "documents and scans" filepath location:
- The user can optionally enter or browse to a preferred file location before saving
- Enter the required filename, and select the required file format, then click "Save" to export the file:
- Print
- The print button sends the report to the appopriate printer as configured in ProCal-Track or ProSales settings
- If the report has been called from ProCal, or a printer is not configured, the windows print dialogue will be shown for the user to select a printer
